Rexhibit is pleased to open submissions for our upcoming group exhibition, Strange Homes.
In line with our vision to make contemporary art more accessible through thoughtful curatorial framing and interactive presentation, Strange Homes invites artists to explore the spaces we live in, return to, leave behind, or carry within us. We welcome works that consider how domestic space, family relationships, memory, privacy, displacement, or the body can shape what home means.
“ Home is often associated with comfort and belonging, but its meaning is neither stable nor universal. It can change across time and circumstance, shaped by where we live, what we remember, and how we understand ourselves in relation to others. Strange Homes explores these shifts, asking how something comes to feel like home, how that feeling can change, and what new meanings emerge when the familiar becomes uncertain.
No single experience defines home. The exhibition welcomes both personal and broader social perspectives, inviting artists to consider how ideas of home are formed, inherited, questioned, or reimagined, and how the familiar can take on different meanings over time. “
