Forms of Attention — “Where Perception Becomes Form.”
Rexhibit, in collaboration with MUYAO and Star Square, is pleased to open submissions for our upcoming group exhibition, Forms of Attention.

In line with our mission to make contemporary art more accessible through thoughtful curatorial framing and cross-cultural presentation, Forms of Attention invites artists to explore how art shapes the way we look, sense, notice, and understand. We welcome works that create new forms of attention through image, material, process, participation, research, space, or embodied experience.

Attention is never neutral. What we notice, overlook, return to, or struggle to understand is shaped by habit, memory, culture, and the environments we inhabit. A material can slow the eye, an image can redirect the gaze, and a gesture, space, or process can alter how we sense what is present. This exhibition welcomes works that sharpen, interrupt, redistribute, or complicate attention, making visible what is often missed or taken for granted.

We believe exhibitions are more than displays. They are situations in which perception is organized, challenged, and shared. Through Rexhibit’s online presentation and the in-person exhibition in Shanghai, Forms of Attention brings different audiences into contact with the same works across distinct spatial and cultural contexts. By presenting diverse artistic approaches in accessible and thoughtful ways, the exhibition asks how art can reshape the act of looking itself.
